Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LineArt (lineart.ai), a service that turns photos you upload into line-art coloring pages and coloring books using AI. By accessing or using LineArt, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Use of Services

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any particular generation result will meet your expectations.

User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

Your Photos

You retain all rights to the photos you upload. You must own the photos you upload or have permission to use them. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited license to process and store it solely to provide the service (for example, sending it to our AI provider to generate your coloring pages). Do not upload photos that are unlawful, infringe others' rights, or depict content prohibited by our AI providers' content policies.

Generated Content and Commercial Use

You own the coloring pages and coloring books generated from your photos, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Commercial use is allowed on all plans, including selling printed or digital coloring books created with LineArt. AI-generated output may be similar across users for similar inputs; we cannot guarantee uniqueness.

Credits, Payments, and Refunds

Generation is paid for with credits, purchased as one-time packs through our payment provider (Stripe). Credits are deducted when a generation starts and automatically refunded to your balance if the generation fails. Purchased credits do not expire.

Because credits are consumed by third-party AI processing costs at the moment of generation, purchased credits are otherwise non-refundable once used, except where required by law. If you purchased credits and have not used them, contact us within 14 days for a refund of the unused balance.

Service Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes that affect paid functionality. We are not liable for temporary unavailability caused by maintenance, third-party provider outages, or factors beyond our reasonable control.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use our services in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload photos of people without their consent, or content that is unlawful or infringing
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or networks
  • Use automation to abuse free credits or circumvent rate limits
  • Use our services to distribute malware or other harmful code

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content generated or stored through our services infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@lineart.ai including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will review and, where appropriate, remove the material and may terminate repeat infringers' accounts.

Children

Our services are intended for purchase and use by adults. Coloring books you create may of course be enjoyed by children, but accounts may only be created by users aged 13 or older (16 in the EEA), and purchases must be made by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — see our Privacy Policy.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your settings page or by contacting us. Unused credits are forfeited on account deletion unless a refund is required by law.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated output varies; we do not warrant that any specific generation will meet your expectations or be free of artifacts.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your uploaded content, or your use of generated output in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the date above. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
